I wasn't going fishing today (usually skip weekends but it was so nice and cool - I had to go
My 2 1/4 hour fishing trip today was rough - wind was beating me to death and waves / current make the Secret-7 wash off the hook so I used Magic Bait covered in Garlic Salt (Chicken Liver - Chicken Blood flavor of course :)
Got a 1.5+ (l lb 10oz) and a 2.5- (2 lb 7oz) Channel catfish and the wind didn't stop blowing until I was ready to leave at 7:15 (dang internet weather forecast for wind is usually closer / better than this :(

A friend and I fished Lake D'Arbonne from 3am to 9am and got about 25 cats. We didn't weight them but 5-6 were 2-3 lbs.
I had a big cat on but unfortunately I didn't work my drag and ended up breaking my 8lb test.
We caught all of ours on a liver, vinegar, & garlic recipe with the bait sitting on the bottom.
